This session was pure magic. When Mandy and Bradley reached out about their engagement photos, they wanted something that captured their adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. We knew the perfect plan—heading out to the Oregon Coast for a day filled with wild, beautiful moments near Tillamook.
On the day of the session, we woke up, enjoyed breakfast, and shipped out on our two-hour drive to Ecola State Park. We spent hours there wandering around, capturing images and looking at the scenery.
I’d never been out to the Oregon Coast before, but everyone always says it’s a must-see. I’d been dreaming of doing an engagement or adventure elopement shoot there for years, so when Mandy mentioned it as an option, I was all in!
Taking engagement photos on the Oregon Coast is all about capturing those laid-back, real moments in an incredible setting. This coastline gives you everything—sandy beaches, epic cliffs, sea stacks, and cozy forest trails, all wrapped up in that misty, moody vibe the coast is known for. The best light happens around sunrise or sunset, and if you’re up for a weekday shoot, it’s usually much quieter, letting you soak in the views without the crowds.
The weather here can be a little unpredictable, but that just adds to the charm. A little wind, a little fog—it’s all part of the experience and can make for some seriously dreamy photos. Dress in layers, wear something flowy if you’re up for it, and be ready to just go with the flow. The Oregon Coast has this wild, free-spirited energy that makes every shot feel natural and memorable, and it’s perfect for capturing your story together.
